The Friends of the Library is a group of dedicated library users who host fundraising activities, and organize campaigns to raise money to enrich and strengthen the collection and services the library provides. In the past they have organized book sales, sponsored author events, promoted children's activities through entertainment and treats, purchased select books for the collection, and in honor of the community they have planted a 'giving' (Gingko) tree in the park area near the library.
The Friends meet in the library community room at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday in January, March, May, June, July, August, and October. Anyone is welcomed to attend. The Friends are always looking for individuals who want to take an active role in the organization's ongoing mission to enrich the library's services and collections. Financial contributions are appreciated. Contact Peter Bremer, 589-2982 for more information on how you can become involved.
